Kreashun for Pete's Paleo

We often get asked where we actually cook the meals for our customers. Some people think it's just me and Pete in our home kitchen. That's funny for a couple of reasons, but mainly because I'm not even really allowed in the kitchen in our house. We operate out of a commercial kitchen in San Diego, with the customer service, accounting, admin, etc on the upper office level, and our crew of about 10 kicking butt in the kitchen downstairs. Our kitchen isn't in the most vibrant neighborhood, and so I thought we owed it to our community to kick it up a notch.

So Pete and I hired a friend of mine from college to spice things up. His name is Monty and he is a mural and exhibit artist based locally in San Diego, but does projects all around the country. You can check out his projects here. Together, with his friend Jason, they form a collaborative group called Kreashun, and they were the driving force behind our new mural. For us, this was a way to give back to our community, both where our kitchen is located, and to the artists who designed it. Here are some pictures of the wall, and you can check out the Kreashun site for work in progress pics! Wondering about the spoon, check out this blog post for background on Pete's love of spoons.
